Our knockouts are still brown and crunchy. I would say, that's a good thing. We've been under freeze warnings all week. My granddad always said thunder in Feb frost in May.

Dot, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog! I feel like I could just walk in, grab a glass of 'sweet tea' or cup of coffee and sit and just talk and talk with you for hours - as if we'd known each other forever!
My hubby grew up in 'the valley' area of Alabama, and one of my very best friends lives in Dothan, so your home state holds a little piece of my heart! Besides, we are actually just neighbors, you know!
Have a blessed Easter, and thanke for keeping me laughing! Becky G.
Dot, I had a wonderful time looking and looking. Everything is adorable and so filled with love and detail. Delightful!

Barb...also many thanks for your visit to Bella Vista.
Hi Dot! Just beautiful! Girl I'm going to have to get me some of those moldings! LOL!!!! They really do look nice! Happy Easter! Deb
Hello dear Dot, I am having a time getting to all of my dear blogging friends this week. Thank you so much for your many kind comments about Beth and my Grandsons. I love you for your uplifting words at a time when we are so sad. There is peace in knowing she isn't suffering anymore and with our Lord.
I loved all your tweaking in your kitchen. The molding is outstanding. The curtains are wonderful and the table in the kitchen makes so much sense. I want wood floors too. No budget for that now. Now if only Obama can save the stock market I would like him a whole lot more!!!!! He did repeat several times to America's issues, "Yes I can." So do it! LOL. Maybe now he realizes what a hard job it is to run a country. How did I get so political BIG Smile!
Ok, off the soapbox. I have to run and get ready for therapy on my new knee. This is so old by now. A must though.
Love you Dot...Jeanne
Picket your kitchen is so beautiful. I wonder what I can do to spruce mine up a bit...hhmmm. Off to think! xorachel

Our Darrin (age 15) and Danielle (age 14) have decided that they want to be baptized this Easter Sunday...we're just soooo pleased and feel so blessed that they have made this decision! Just had to share it with you. That's what we're doing for Easter! Celebrating that our Savour lives!!!

Hi Dot!
Your chair rail is FABULOUS! What a difference it makes! It had to take a lot of measuring & figuring for it to all come out right. My hats off to Bill! He did a great job. It looks very classy Dot. Your kitchen is so versatile too. So nice you can put an extra table in there for summer.
Oh your roses look so beautiful! We're glad to have 2 daffodils blooming up here. Maybe someday we too will see the roses again LOL!
Have a blessed Easter Dot!
Hugs, Sherry
Love your post with the sepia tone photos. Everything looks so cozy. Wouldn't it be neat if we could change the colors of our rooms with the "click" of a button. blessings, pam

It was fun seeing it in black and white....then the color pictures really popped. I swear woman you change things up more than anyone I know. I bet your family never knows what house they'll be coming into next. But one thing is for certain....no matter what is where...it all looks lovely!
Your moldings look so nice Pickett.I like your new curtains also and like your round table in the kitchen too.
You are one talented decorated, who has a grasp on how to create a warm, cozy, inviting looking home. I really enjoyed seeing each of these beautiful photos, and seeing all of your artistic extra touches. It inspired me. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter together.
Dot, I have never seen anyone switch things up as much as you! Does Bill ever come home and start bumping into stuff because it wasn't there when he'd left? LOL

Our knockout roses are in full bloom too! Beautiful!
Justine :o )

Hi sister Picket :)
Your home always looks beautiful, cozy and welcoming and I love the new looks you're trying out. I'm mighty jealous of your oil rubbed bronze faucet though!
Happy Easter sweet friend!!
love you,
rue
Dearest Dot... Happy Easter! I've been offline all week as we've had quite a go of it with my friend's mom who has now gone home to be with the Lord. She looked so peaceful at the end. I'm going to post about it later, but I'm trying to make some blog rounds. Love seeing your pretty house, sweetest Dot, and I will be back to really take a closer look later. Love the new curtain fabric, the treatment over the sink, the bronze faucet, the molding... all of it. You've done a good job. Take a bow for your hard work!
Happy Easter to you and yours...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oops... I've been offline most of the week. :-) I'm tired and not quite thinking straight, but I am thinking straight enough to say how much I love you!
XO,
Sheila
Hi Picket!
I haven't been around much (busy time at school!), but I DID want to come by and let you know I'm a big fan of your blog and would love for you to come by and pick up your Fan Award! Or add me to your collection of "fans" if you already have it! :-)
Have a beautiful and blessed Easter!! Laura
Here I am--the cow's tail again, but I've enjoyed a quick catch up! Knockout roses, old quilts, and the theme of blue--some of my favorite things, inside and out. You need to be producing a television show, Picket!! (Is that old quilt from Aunt Annie Bell? I'm going to show her the blog again the next time I'm there.i couldn't recognize the one from Mama, but I'm glad you have it.) Keep on entertaining us with your skills! Love, Aunt Kat
I love your new background. Your kitchen is darling, nice job with thr curtains and the paneling.
