Eat Your Veggies!!!!

Morning guys..we got a new week started..hope everyone had a beautiful weekend....Mine was fantastic...got to buy a 'house' for the 'farm'...ohhhh glory!!!! lol It was the small house mind you...all I could afford...actually I guess you could call it the 'bunk house' if I had workers on the farm but since I can't afford workers it will be the guest house...but I can't have guest yet cause I gotta live in it! lol BUT I AM LOVING IT!!!! It is the FARMTOWN on facebook if any of you are wondering what I am rambling about! lolThis 'farm' life makes me crave garden veggies! So today boys and girls we will be making a fantastic Spinach Salad..yep I said SPINACH!!! I know...I know...I don't touch the stuff in any other form! lol But trust me this is fabulous! Here's all you need...seriously....bag of baby spinach leaves...boiled eggs...bacon pieces....caesar salad dressing...tomatoes...black pepper...(croutons if you like)

Chop one of your hard boiled eggs and mix it with your caesar dressing and black pepper..add the spinach leaves and toss gently..until coated...

Chop your remaining two eggs coarsely...slice you tomatoes thinly...top the salad with the eggs..tomatoes..bacon ...and croutons....look at that fantastic looking salad!!!! The taste is out of this world...I have never tasted Caesar dressing in my life until I tried this at the little taste stand in Publix's...oh my word what else have I been missing!!!!!! You can also buy the boiled eggs already boiled for you there!!!! lol Buy I just boiled my own...I mean how hard is it! lol

Now you throw in some good ole pasta chicken dish and some garlic toast....ohhhhhh glory!!!! Supper's ready!!!! Please try this you guys...it is worth it's weight in gold...take care you guys and have a great week..I hope to show you a zuccinni cake pretty soon..yep it is all about the veggies! lol Love you guys ~♥~

YUM! I love spinach in any form! I know, you probably think I'm nuts! :D
That salad looks so good. Have you tried it wilted in a little olive oil with bacon bits or ham chunks, croutons and black olives? It's simple and makes a great side dish.
Have a great week!

This sounds fabulous!! I have never heard of mixing the spinach with the dressing...will give it a whirl, thanks!!

You might want to try spinach salad with a strawberry or raspberry vinaigrette, it really sweetens it up. Heaven!! And I mix in spinach with soups and stew so I get all the vitamins I can and you don't even know it's there~you know, the old trick we used to play with our kids!! LOL!!

Have a wonderful week!! :-)

xoxo

I love spinach salad! Yum!

I'll have to check out Farmtown on Facebook. Might be interesting, since we lived on a real farm, as opposed to a virtual farm. Do you have to carry extra shoes, just in case the cows are out, on your way to town? Ahh...the memories...;-).

Picket, your recipes are always so yummy!! Speaking of zucchini......do you have a zucchini chocolate cake or zucchini brownie recipe? My SIL gave me a recipe when I was first married for her zucchini brownies. Her's were yummy, mine not so much. I've discovered through the years that she leaves out one or two ingredients and always leaves out either the temperature or the time to bake it. Yes, she's a stinker but she got her wish and I don't ask for her recipes any more. If you have one or both I'd love a copy!! Take care little farm girl! I'm picturing you right now in overalls at your computer planting some more veggies and then feeding the carrots to your little rabbits!! Enjoy the soil, as my friend used to say!! Cindy

What good idea! I will have to put spinach salad on our menu. Have you noticed how salad is so much better with a boiled egg tossed on? Yummy!

You really make me smile and I love it! Another house!
we enjoy spinach most anyway other than cooked...ekkk We aren't in to Popeye's food here.
I will have to try this dressing with the eggs... Mr B eats NO dressing what so ever on any of his salads. But if has calories I love it!

I am using your dressing you shared a little while back, to go over taco salads when I feed 50 at family reunion while camping up by Sun Valley Idaho. I think it will be a big hit! I will let you know.:)

LOL Farmtown is addicting. I love it. I haven't broken down and bought a house yet. I have the money but I love planting the crops and waiting till they come on. Would love to see your farm. I took a pic of mine and put it on my facebook page lol. Take care and keep planting. You should also try Farmville and Yoville. HeHe I spend way to much time on facebook.

Good Morning Picket!
That Spinach Salad looks and sounds delish! The only Spinach I have ever eaten is spinach cornbread. (By the way it's delish and if your feeling brave, LOL, you can get the recipe from my recipe blog...I bet you'd love spinach cornbread...it tastes sweet and it's made with jiffy bread, cottage cheese, butter onion and frozen drained spinach. I haven't posted on the recipe blog for a while, but you can get there from the side bar of my blog if you want to. Well, I hope you have a great day!
Big Hugs,
Queenie~
P.S. Your blog looks so adorable...I love the background and the top header. I sure wish I could change my background, but I'm afraid I'll lose everything if I try it... Knowing me and my computer skills level! LOL!

I've finally taken my head off of the farm and back into blogland, and look at all of the great things I missed the last few days. This salad recipe sounds wonderful. I could go for a good salad. Since I started farming poor Jacob has had nothing but fast food and snacks the poor boy! (But he's probably enjoying it:) ~ Robyn
