You have been greatly missed here in "blogland". Isn't it crazy, we have never met and yet I feel as if we are old friends. But that is because you are so generous in sharing your life and your heart with all of us. God bless you Dot. Get some rest and take care of yourself too. That husband of yours is a "keeper" but I know that you already know that.
Hugs, Bette Jo in Oregon
YEAH! SO glad your home and that your parents are, too. What a blessing it is to have them both and how lucky they are to have you. That Bill of yours is super special, too. :)

Your new home is going to be a show piece now that your parents are home and you have a bit of time.
The owner is a lucky fellow to have leased it to you.

Picket I am so happy! Happy your Mom and Dad are doing better and Dad's home and so glad you are home. I could just hear the joy coming through. Isn't it awesome the way God sees us through? And that hubby of yours, he must just be the sweetest and I know he must be so happy to have you back with him. I have been visiting your farm in farm town, Picket if I were near you I would do anything I could to help but I am not, so I went in and watered your flowers and prayed. It just gave me something I could do for you and I knew God would take care of the real needs as He always does.
I am so happy both parents are getting over this bump in the road, hang in there, I have been in your place and it is just difficult I know.... Love your new lights, so pretty fresh and light, I love that...the napkin rings are the cuttest..I am a new follower of yours si I will be able to see what new things the house has in store for you....come for a visit
I have learned after taking care of my MOM, that if you do what is right...there will always be time to do what you want to do!!! God is so good and I am so happy for you and your family. Praying that things will continue to improve for Mom and Dad. What a gift to be right down the street!!!
Take time to take care of yourself and hubby....your home will be awesome in a short while!! Have a good and restful week-end.
Hugs, Sherrie
Awww Picket! Welcome Back! The power of prayer is an awesome thing and we've all been praying for you and your family! What a great husband you have! Can you send him my way to take down some wallpaper?
.....Sharon
So glad you're home. There is nothing like being able to sleep in your own bed. The timing of your move must have been orchestrated by God. You were so right that your parents needed you closer. How great that you can still care for them, but be in your own home when you need to. Wow! leaving Bill home alone might be a good idea. Just look at all he got done while you were gone. Love your new porch lights, and the house looks so pretty with the shrubs cut. What pretty napkins, and those napkin rings are so cute!laurie
Morning Dot! I'M SO GLAD YOUR PARENTS ARE FEELING BETTER AND MENDING!!!! How pretty all you (and Bill)have done so far. I adore those napkins and I'm ready to go bending and twisting my forks and spoons into napkin rings! Ya think they'd look ok on paper napkins?lol I took all the bushes down in front of our house too and what a difference it DOES make! This little gem is going to be so shiney by the time you AND BILL are done!!! Enjoy your weekend and relax!!! Sincerely, Jeannette
God Bless you all, you and your family sure have been through alot, so happy to know everything is improving.
Can hardly wait to see what/ how you're going to recreate the Picket touches in your new home.
Get lots of rest dear, in between your busy days.
Blessings,
Mel
Oh Picket What a time you have had! So glad to hear things are getting better. I pray for your life to get better and your Mamma and Daddy get their health back. BLESSINGS, DEANIE
Hey Dot! So glad to hear some happiness in your post. Praise God for bringing your Daddy home and for your Mama improving! I hope she is back to her old self in no time.
I know you can look back and see the Lord's hand in your big move, and so many other things that happened leading up to your move. It's very inspiring.
I know the Lord works works in everyone's lives, but I also know that there are people who just have not experienced a realization of the Lord working in their lives. When they read your posts, they can see it! I truly believe reading your posts gives revelations to so many in blogland.
You are a treasure!
Hello dot, i am so sorry about your Mom and Dad. How awful for them and how wonderful that you were near by to help them. The move you made was heaven sent.
Your Bill is a keeper, but you know that. I know he did those wonderful projects just for you Dot. I too am happy you are home and can get unpacked and settled now. A huge job but it will be wonderful to get it done. I love the porch light and the jungle that disappeared. No more wallpaper is a huge job well done. Your leased home will soon be a cosy beautiful place to call home.
My prayers are going out to your parents and for you Dot. I have been in your shoes with my parents and the heartbreak can wear you out. Things are looking up. Praise the Lord.
Not much about me that isn't common knowledge. Loads of company and little time for my computer.
I am missing you.
Love and hugs, Jeanne

Dot, What great news. I have been thinking of you lately..I know what it's like to need to be there to help your Momma & Daddy, and also be so homesick for home and your dearest hubby. I went thru those times. It's so emotional.
Love the lights, and what a hoot it would have been for Bill to blog about NO more wallpaper..your last wallpaper removal still cracks me up ! You are strong.. YOU will survive..and I know how thankfull you are to be able to be living close to your Momma and Daddy right now. Happy thoughts going out to you.
Picket... I have been reading your blogs for months now and just figured out how to comment (with the help of a friend). :o) I LLLOVE your blog and you bless me with every writing. My parents are elderly and fragile and we are taking care of them when one or the other becomes ill. Just recently spent a few nights taking care of Mom and then back and forth to the hospital because Dad had to have surgery... they are precious and it's so difficult to watch their health fail.... Also... I didn't know there was anyone left in the world who loved roosters like I do... we are friends and we've never even met!!! Wish we were neighbors! Thank you for sharing what is in your heart... God bless.
That's great news Picket!
Glad to know that your mama and daddy are doing well now, that's wonderful that you are finally living close enough to them, to help them and look in on them...I can imagine they are so happy to!
Big Hugs,
Queenie
Hi Dot! I haven't been visiting for a while cause I have been so busy but it looks like everything is going well and you are back home so that's good. There really isn't any place like home.....Christine
So glad your home, what a blessing you were to your darling parents, but what a blessing to be back beside your hubby!
I will pray for you and your mom and dad, bless your hearts!
I check in on your blog here and there. Sorry to hear about your mom and dad, but so glad you can be right there with them. When my folks were needing more help all I ever wanted to do was live close enough that I could at least drop in to sit a spell and have a cup of tea in the afternoon with mom and check up on both of them. I lived too far away and couldn't work it out to move closer. I did the best I could to get back there often. My folks are both gone now, but glad I did travel all those miles so often to do what I could. You are doing what I wanted to do. I know you will have days that you are exhausted, but with much gratefullness and satisfaction in knowing you're where you're supposed to be. May God continue to bless you in every step of your journey.
joan
