Loving The Moment...

Hey guys...hope everyone is having a great weekend...just been a great productive week here...I cleaned all week and actually cleaned out and organized 3 closets! I know...earth shattering news there! lol But I love weeks like this....made several batches of zucchini muffins..gave 3 large batches to mama & daddy and a batch to oldest daughter Tracy and a batch to baby girl Jen and I think grandson Bailey ate a batch before they could even cool!Today was a beautiful day...hot but beautiful...Bill worked in the yard all day cutting grass...weed eating...trimming bushes... Loved sitting on the porch with him when he took breaks! The phone was actually quiet today and no company...I know I couldn't believe it either! I love days like this..just the two of us talking and laughing...getting older together....love him more today than I ever did when we first married..and I thought that was impossible...

Even BB noticed what a special day it was just to relax and enjoy the moment....you can always find her somewhere close to Bill...even when he stopped to take a break and sit on the porch she would follow him to his rocker and jump up in his lap...she has always been attached to him ever since he found her in the field...half starved and only about 5 weeks old 10 yrs ago....

Yep nothing exciting to report today...just plain ol feel good to be alive and so thankful for this life and a good porch swing...take care you guys and take time out to really sit down and enjoy the moment...I promise you the world won't come to an end...the kids won't starve to death...and the dishes ain't going nowhere....and lordy knows the local newspaper will not care if you don't make your bed the minute your foot hits the floor...live this life while you can....love you guys...Picket

Your husband takes such great care of the yard. It looks like paradise!

These are the kinds of days that feed a weary soul. I'm glad that you had just such a day. You'll be ready for the next batch of closets or the next batch of kids and grands now.

Hi Dot! I love days like this too. Life is very fleeting, so we have to find a way to enjoy all we can while we still have some time left.
May you have many sweet days like this.
Have a great week!

Dot, your yard is just gorgeous. All the beautiful freshly mowed grass and trimmed bushes. Such a beautiful sight to see. I can't wait for it to be even remotely cool enough to sit outside and enjoy such beauty. Sounds like the most perfect kind of day ever. Hugs, Marty

You are ALWAYS so uplifting! I love your attitude! I, too, love my hubby (43 years now) more than ever! Isn't it wonderful getting to grow old together, and have these wonderful "just the 2 of us" days!!! WE have "date day" every once in a while and take a drive, go sometwhere for lunch, do some browsing and/or buying and come home. Most nights when it isn't SO DARN HOT we sit on our deck together and talk. It is a blessed life. XOXO, Pinky Wish so much you had a place to sign up to get an e-mail notice when you post!!!!!
