I&#39;m working a part-time retail job and what greater way to handle some of that is to freeze dishes. Although Wes is an incredible cook and rules the kitchen these days! I am so thankful!!<BR/>I really enjoy the hunting photos of your guys. It brings back wonderful memories of my dad hunting in the fall and bringing back rabbit &amp; pheasant. It really helped feed our family back then. If I NEVER learn another danged thing from my blogging buddies--this little tip will be enough! We don't fix b.beans for TGiving (but we don't feed a crowd like you do either!),but I'm always the Bringer of the Beans at our July 4th gatherings and this would be a great idea!!! I actually do use the same brand you just shared---and I add BQ sausce, B. Sugar, Molassess, sauteed onions that have been cooked in bacon grease! and the crumbles from about four slices of cooked bacon. Oh and I throw in a dash of Liquid Smoke for good measure! I don't add hamburger, but I have eaten that dish with hamburger in it (we call that Cowboy Beans) I cook em low and slow and they are good. NOW I know to fix up the mix a few days before and freeze it!<BR/>I was just bringing the rest of my Wheat Dishes up from the basement where I store them---gonna set them out on my buffet and enjoy them until I use them on TGiving!<BR/>Have a great rest of the weekend! Up here in the NorthEast I don't do baked beans for Thanksgiving, it must be a southern thing. I know alot of southerners who live up here now do beans and even mac and cheese,deviled eggs, and things like that, I consider that summer cookout food. So I just do turkey, stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes and gravy, veggies, rolls, cranberry sauce, see, just the traditional. Oh and Dot, I have never added ground beef to my beans, but that sounds really good, so I'll make that sometime soon! AND... I have never heard of hardboiled eggs put in gravy either, wow, you southern cooks are so different aren't ya! But I still love ya sweetie! BTW, I have nothing to blog about, ya know me and my boring life!
