You know, I thought the black shutters looked nice and they went great with the cushions, but my word, how fantastic that soft green looks! And its also great with your cushions! It really freshens up the look of your porch and achieves that softer look you wanted.

It was also fun to see food on your brand new dishes!

I remember you did say you got the paint for a great deal, I will have to stop at Home Depot and check out some colors. Thanks for stopping by. Our brick walk was kind of an accident, my husband was helping his little brother move into a new home and at the old home where these pavers just in a pile, well..... the hubs snatched them up and there was plenty to do that walk plus a small wall, all for the price of a little sand!! Gotta love that!! LOL Thanks so much for stopping by, I was inspired by your house and started working on my front porch today, painting a few things, cleaning others, pitching this and that, just need a few more flowers and to make a few more pillows. i will keep you posted! Dot, I can't tell you how badly I wish I could be sitting on that glorious porch with you. You'd be drinking sweet tea, me some strong coffee, and I think I could just sit for hours, listening to you tell me stories of your family. I never get bored of hearing your stories, both past and present. What a full and rich life you have!
And yum, but that cabbage looks good!

Your home is always so welcoming, the company entertaining and the feeling peaceful.
Loved your new burlap pillows which go perfectly on your pretty furniture and match your beautiful newly painted shutters which are the shutters that Bill built!
The flowers are still so pretty, the food looked so good and I can imagine your Mama and Dad loved every bite.
Sophie is so lucky to have you both so close by and even have her own (Bus) bench to sit on.

Hey Dot! Sweetie your yard is just beautiful as always, you and Bill do such a great job! I'm lovin the green shutters so much, and the new pillows look perfect! You are my kinda cook, I grew up on comfort food and I love love love this cabbage meal you made! I gotta get me some cabbage this week and make this! Mmmmmmm I can smell it! LOL!!
